Financial Arbitration: Done by Rabbis that actually heard the case first hand from the parties are consulted to advise on the decision of the Bais din. No matter how small or how large the claim is, it is dealt with the same way. We charge for our services, but do not collect any monies through dinners nor membership nor financial support from lay leaders, in order to remain impartial for any Din Torah that may come up. This keeps us neutral and independent.

Adjudication of Commercial Disputes: The Beth Din processed over sixty-five commercial disputes during this past year. Many of the disputes were resolved through arbitration (Dinei Torah) or mediation at the Beth Din, and some were settled between the parties once the Beth Din became involved. The disputes touched upon a wide variety of matters, including employer-employee disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, real property disputes, and claims regarding business interference, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, investor mismanagement, defective merchandise, and unfair competition. The amounts of money in dispute ranged between $500 and $5 million dollars. Among the dayanim (arbitrators) who served on cases during this past year were Rabbi Gavriel Cohen, Rabbi Yaakov Gedalia Ben Yosef Dov Safranowitz, Rabbi Shalom Ginsberg, Rabbi Avrohom Chaim Halbershtam, Rabbi Y.M. Moskowitz, Rabbi Shmuel Baruch Manne, Rabbi Shimon Cohen (and previously Rabbi Shmuel Shwartz, Rabbi Nosson Nota Arnold)
