Mazal Tov Mazal Tov Mazal Tov

A variety of marriage and family related services are offered by the Beth Din. Premarital and marital counseling are available to couples in a discrete and caring atmosphere.

Traditional betrothal and marriage ceremonies are performed, recognized by religious authorities and the secular government. Couples have chosen to marry in a religious ceremony even after a a civil ceremony.

The beauty and sanctity of marriage are honored with the writing of the Ketubah and all the details of a wedding performed according to Halacha, the Jewish law.

The Marriage Cermony Has 4 Parts The Kidushin The Giving Of The Ring And Ketubah The Birkot Nissuin And The Breaking Of The Glass To Commemorate The Destruction Of The Bet Hamikdash That No Happiness Is Complete Unless Hashem Builds Back Our Bet Hamikdash.

The Ketubah is a marriage contract -- a Chuppah is not complete without it. A person is not allowed to live with his wife unless he knows where his ketubah is at all times, because the husband and wife must remember their commitments all the time. The Ketubah is the best contract ever written, with all the detailed commitments on both sides to keep the marriage strong and flawless -- "to cherish, to love, to support", even if he has to sell the shirt off his back.

"To protect, to praise, and to appreciate" all that the wife does... and then the wife reciprocates. That is what a Jewish marriage is. It is NOT two people living together without a guarantee for the future without a binding responsibility. There is a purpose for a marriage -- a goal. It's a life-long look at how two people form a serious partnership.

When it comes to one's financial investments and duties, how many pages and pages are written with all of the details so that everything is clear and articulated? So it should be even more so for a long-lasting marriage. Because after the Honeymoon comes the "honeydo's"... "honey do this", "honey do that"... and then the honey is not so sweet.

This is what is written in the Ketubah:
