The Brit Milah, Bris, or circumcision is the ceremony which marks the entry of a Jewish male into the
covenant of the Creator. The experienced hands of a caring certified Mohel bring a gentle touch to minimize discomfort.
The naming of Jewish boys takes place as part of the Bris Milah. Friends and family gather to celebrate the
addition to the Jewish community.
Sterile surgical instruments are wielded t o quickly remove the foreskin then sweet wine pacifies the infant,
in the traditional manner that assures quick healing and the least possible discomfort for the infant.
Circumcision of older males for conversion or other purposes is performed with anesthesia in a clinical setting.
